Today we launch a new podcast for the MAPPING THE AUTOMATISTS project. This one is telling about the time that the Automatists spent studying at l’École des beaux-arts de Montréal.

We also want to tell that it would be appropriate to give back to l’École des beaux-arts de Montréal an art-related vocation. It might also be a good candidate to become LA PLACE DES AUTOMATISTES.

L’École des beaux-arts de Montréal could be an ideal place to host art exhibitions, conferences, educational projects, and art residencies. All those activities in the goal to showcase our local artists and to put them in relation with foreign ones in addition to become an international touristic landmark.

The buildings that used to host l’École des beaux-arts de Montréal are currently empty and owned by the Quebec Government. They have an immense potential to promote culture in Montreal. It needs to be acknowledged especially since it would also be an occasion to valorize our patrimonial Architecture.
