GEORGE GESSERT George Gessert was born in 1944 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. He studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Since 1985 his work has focused on the overlap of art and genetics. He has exhibited widely. His writings have appeared in many publications. In 2005 he received a Pushcart Prize. Currently he is editor for art and biology for Leonardo.
