These works invite visitors to divulge a part of themselves, to provide an account or testimony that concerns a private aspect of their life: a wish, expression of thanks, a dream, fear, etc. Their structure compares to that of a database, but their culled testimonies are treated like offerings to the universal. In these works, each divulgence comes to joins the others and participates in a common, potentially infinite work. It makes possible the manifestation of desire, at once for expressing and overcoming oneself, for connecting with humanity. The guardian/artist initiates the project, and then withdraws, assuming the function of archivist, an invisible presence, patient and respectful. These invitations give rise to touchingly true and often emotionally charged confidences. The anonymity of the "donors" favors such openness. The works take into account individuals' propensity for disclosure on the network, the medium's interactive nature, and the possibility of endless accumulation of content.
