The possibility of creating a new identity on the Internet permits
individuals to reject their present identities in favour of
adopting a completely new one where they may change their sex, age, or milieu. All of this is now possible. Certain individuals push the limits of a shifting identity to a fictional that is akin to an actor taking on a new identity during a performance. Denial and lies are a worrisome facet of this fabricated identity as they may express dissatisfaction and an absolute taking control of one's identity as well as a desire to mislead others. Again, here, many artists are interested in this quest to create false identities on the Internet within the framework of Web works.
