Nous reprenons l’envoi des FICHES et des BALADOS de notre projet «Cartographie des Automatistes ». Aujourd’hui, les expositions auxquelles ont participé les Automatistes au Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal entre 1950 et 1955.

C’est à la suite de l’incident de mars 1950, que le directeur du MBAM, Robert Tyler Davis, propose à Paul-Émile Borduas et à ses amis de présenter une exposition de leurs œuvres dans la Galerie XII du musée.

Intitulée Paintings by P.-É. Borduas and by a Group of Younger Montreal Artists, elle présente des œuvres de Marcel Barbeau, Robert Blair, Paul-Émile Borduas, Marcelle Ferron, Jean-Paul Filion et Gérald Tremblay. Du 26 janvier au 13 février 1952. Et plus…

We are resuming the publication of the FILES and PODCASTS of our project « Mapping the Automatists ». Today, the exhibitions featuring Automatists at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts from 1950 to 1955.

After the march 1950’s incident, the MMFA Director, Robert Tyler Davis, offers an exhibition to Paul-Émile Borduas and his friends in the Galerie XII of the museum.

Named Paintings by P.-É. Borduas and by a Group of Younger Montreal Artists, the exhibition showcase the work of Marcel Barbeau, Robert Blair, Paul-Émile Borduas, Marcelle Ferron, Jean-Paul Filion and Gérald Tremblay and was held from January 26 to February 13 of 1952. And more…
